Nichiro-Kai Sambo-Jutsu Association

Nichiro-Kai provides a technical framework for Sila Voli Association practitioners, dojo operators, and students. Operating independently of major athletic bureaucracies, we uphold clear standards for rank and practice. Our lifetime affiliations with the JBBA International Freestyle Judo Alliance and the US Combat Sambo Association exist solely to advance our core mission: developing skill, character, and practical combat effectiveness without political distraction.

Nichiro-Kai translates to "Japan-Russia Association," honoring our foundation in Kodokan Judo (under IFJA Freestyle rules) and Combat/Self-Defense Sambo. We use Sambo-Jutsu to emphasize Sambo taught as a technical art. Because Sambo integrates Judo, Jujitsu, striking, and wrestling, we structure ourselves primarily as a Sambo body.

Our training remains rooted in traditional Budo:

  • Machi Dojo Culture: A focused, community-driven atmosphere over a commercial mega-gym model.
  • Structured Progression: A traditional rank system reflecting the Shu-Ha-Ri process of mastery.
  • Individual Specialization: Targeted development of each athlete's Tokui-Waza (signature technique).

We deliver a practical curriculum focused on universal mechanics, enabling athletes to adapt smoothly across Judo, Sambo, Jiu-Jitsu, striking, and self-defense. Much like classic Soviet-era training halls where combat athletes cross-trained under a unified system, Nichiro-Kai fosters a collaborative, adaptability-first environment.
